This one-day Symposium brings together lawyers and economists interested in the intersection between intellectual property laws and competition laws. The prime focus is on how best to balance these laws to improve, in a practical way, economic welfare in Asia. After two Keynote presentations dealing with the regulation and the underlying economics of intellectual property and competition laws, an economist and lawyer will present papers on selected countries in Asia.
