Unusually for a European jurisdiction, firms in Ireland tend to choose New York for their first overseas office. The US has close trade links with Ireland, and that, coupled with a young market for competition work, means that only one of the firms profiled here has ventured into Brussels. Irish competition teams also tend to handle the gamut of regulatory work. Several firms have dedicated and growing competition teams, whilst others are developing them.
