Manuel Sebastião, head of Portugal’s competition authority, has been working furiously to clear a backlog of cases inherited from his predecessor. Meanwhile, politicians are drafting amendments to the competition law to combat problems with existing legislation. Emily Gray travelled to Lisbon to find out why Portuguese competition enforcement may be turning a corner.
