Belgium's Competition Authority has a noisy neighbour: the European Commission's DG Comp. Practitioners based in Brussels have the benefit of dealing with one of the world's leading authorities. In contrast to the commission, which is often criticised for being overly aggressive, Belgium's competition authority stands accused of excessive meekness.
