There is no doubt that Brazil's Secretariat of Economic Law (SDE), under the leadership of Mariana Tavares de Araujo, does an extraordinary job. Despite being one of the most poorly funded agencies in Rating Enforcement, the output of it 30-strong team of competition specialists puts many of it peers around the world to shame. "They pull rabbits out of hats," is how one leading competition lawyer describes it.
