Israel's Antitrust Authority receives a somewhat mixed report card for 2009. Despite being a young authority - the average staff member is just 33 years old - with a relatively modest budget of €4.6 million, the authority scores highly for a number of factors. Practitioners generally agree that the authority is well staffed with a dedicated, independent and professional team that has a good legal and economic grounding for handling competition cases.
