The US Federal Trade Commission is the largest agency featured in Rating Enforcement, with more than 1,000 staff on its books. In addition to its competition duties, the commission is also responsible for consumer protection. But it has a staff of 333 that work solely on competition matters. The FTC investigates abuse of dominance cases and shares the burden of merger review with its sister agency, the US Department of Justice's antitrust division.
