The GCR 100 analyses the top 100 competition practices in the world, as selected by Global Competition Review. This year's edition also includes a guide to the world's top 20 competition economics consulting firms-the Economics 20. We use a variety of criteria to establish this, including size, coverage, degree of competition specialisation, policy work and recent successes, among other things. The final list represents our subjective opinion. It is intended to be a useful resource for in-house counsel when they compile shortlists for work or for law firms in search of foreign contacts. It should be viewed as a starting point rather than a definitive statement; our self-imposed limit of 100 slots means many successful and respected firms do not appear. Research for next year's lists begins in June. The following lists shows who made it into this year's GCR 100 and Economics 20.
