DoJ investigating Del Monte acquisition

The US Department of Justice’s antitrust division (DoJ) is looking into the US$5.3 billion acquisition of Del Monte Foods by a group of investment funds led by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) – according to a securities lawyer for Del Monte’s former shareholders.
