Maple merger will "inhibit competition", panel told

A securities hearing looking at The Maple Group’s proposed CA$3.7 billion (€2.7 billion) acquisition of TMX Group, operator of the Montreal and Toronto Stock Exchange, has heard views that the bid could significantly reduce competition in Canada’s financial market.
