An anxious transition

For years, Brazilian antitrust enforcers and lawyers have been pushing for legal changes that would streamline enforcement and modernise the merger review process. Those changes came into force late last month, but now practitioners worry that staffing shortages and a long learning curve could lead to delays. Ron Knox reports
