Judge backs Toshiba settlement in LCD class action

By granting final approval of a settlement with electronics manufacturer Toshiba, a US federal court has ended one part of a private litigation alleging a price-fixing conspiracy in the liquid crystal display (LCD) industry and vacated a jury’s guilty verdict against the company.
