South Africa’s Competition Tribunal has fined Southern Pipeline Contractors 16.8 million rand (€1.8 million) for its part in a concrete pipes cartel. The fine amounts to 10 per cent of the company’s total annual turnover – the maximum allowed under the country’s competition law.
