Apple asks judge to dismiss iTunes case

Lawyers for electronics company Apple told a US federal judge yesterday that he should dismiss allegations that the company attempted to shut out competitors to its iTunes music store by limiting the kinds of tracks customers were allowed to download to its market-leading iPod digital music player.
