ACCC loses latest bid to halt supermarket merger

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has lost its bid for an interim court injunction to stop the merger of supermarkets Franklins and Metcash - but a court will now hear its appeal against the tie-up sooner than expected.
