Germany’s Federal Cartel Office says it will prohibit fuel sector mergers to protect competition in a market it says is controlled by a “dominant oligopoly” of five companies.

The High Court of England & Wales has ruled that a lawsuit against a group of companies charged with participating in a rubber cartel can be heard in London, even though the alleged cartel did not operate in the UK.
