US computer and technology manufacturer Apple says that its mobile phone rival Nokia "deliberately and deceptively" failed to disclose its intellectual property rights to a standard setting organisation in an attempt to illegally monpolise the rights to mobile phone technologies.

A US federal judge overseeing the Google Books settlement yesterday deferred making a decision on whether a US$125 million settlement agreement should stand, saying that there was "just too much to digest" when weighing potential antitrust and copyright infringement issues at that stage.
