Michael Rosenthal
Dr. Michael Rosenthal is the managing partner of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s Brussels office. He advises clients in a wide range of industries on all aspects of EU and German competition laws before the European Commission as well as the national competition authority and courts in Germany. Michael is listed as a leading competition lawyer in the major legal directories, including The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers, and is the co-author of the book Rosenthal/Thomas, European Merger Control (C.H. Beck/Hart Publishing, 2010). Prior to joining the firm, Michael chaired the European arm of Hunton & Williams’ competition team and also served as managing partner of that firm’s Brussels office. Before joining Hunton & Williams, Michael was an associate with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and, previously, Debevoise & Plimpton in New York. He holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School and is admitted to the Düsseldorf and New York Bars.
