Elena works as an associate in Hannes Snellman’s Moscow office. Elena’s fields of expertise include competition and administrative law. She has gained extensive experience working for seven years in the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS). Elena has advised clients in a large num-ber of competition issues relating, to name a few, antitrust distribution agreements, competition restrictions for companies with a dominant position, avoidance of unfair competition, and liability for violation of competition law.

Working as the head of division in FAS, Elena was responsible for consultations concerning the implementation of competition legislation, approving merger applications, participating in hearing commissions dealing with antitrust violations in the Russian commodity market, and at the financial services market.
