David A Higbee

David A Higbee is a partner in the global competition practice group in the Washington, DC, office of Hunton & Williams LLP. His practice focuses on merger counselling and review, government investigations, corporate internal investigations, and complex civil and criminal litigation matters with an emphasis on antitrust and unfair competition laws. He represents clients in a wide array of industries, including pharmaceutical, chemical, information technology, defence, biotech and financial services. Mr Higbee previously served at the US Department of Justice as deputy assistant attorney general and chief of staff of the antitrust division. In that capacity, he advised the assistant attorney general on all matters related to the enforcement of the antitrust laws, including merger review, civil litigation and criminal enforcement. Mr Higbee has served in various leadership positions in the ABA's antitrust section, most recently as vice chair of the 2008 Fall Forum.
