Toby is a senior associate at Blake Dawson and currently a foreign legal consultant to Blake Dawson's associated firm in Jakarta, Indonesia, Soebagjo, Jatim, Djarot. He specialises in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, resources and has acted for several FMCG companies.

Toby joined the firm in 2009, having previously worked for an international firm in Sydney and from 2006 to 2009 in Shanghai.

Toby has acted for many blue chip clients in both Australia and China, including Bacardi, BHP Billiton, Chevron, Westpac, Rio Tinto, PepsiCo and Brambles. In China he advised clients on a range of matters, including PRC foreign investment structures, mining and resources, technology, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, entertainment, and real estate and leasing transactions. Toby has also acted for several major sporting organisations, including JUSS Events (the Chinese franchise holder of the Tennis Masters Series), the New South Wales Rugby Union, the Association for Surfing Professionals, AVESCO and Rugby World Cup Limited.
