Adam Kalbfleisch
Adam Kalbfleisch’s practice encompasses a wide range of competition and foreign investment review matters. He regularly advises Canadian and international clients engaged in mergers, joint ventures and other forms of strategic alliances in connection with the notification and clearance provisions of the Competition Act and the Investment Canada Act. He also advises clients in connection with conspiracy and other criminal provisions of the Competition Act, as well as on potentially anti-competitive business practices, including abuse of dominance, misleading advertising, exclusive dealing and refusal to deal matters.
Mr Kalbfleisch has represented parties in several significant recent mergers, including Riverstone Holdings LLC on the acquisition of Gibson Energy Holdings, SSAB in connection with its acquisition of Ipsco Inc and Alliance Atlantis on its sale to Canwest, Goldman Sachs and Edgestone Capital Partners.
