Helen Hai is an associate of JSM, and a member of the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Team (ranked ‘tier 1’ in China by Chambers Asia for 2011). Helen specialises in China-related antitrust counselling and meger filing work, and also has broad experience in relation to foreign direct investment projects, domestic and cross-border merger and acquisitions, and establishment of joint ventures and representative offices in China. She has been involved in various industry sectors in China, including oil and gas, banking, insurance, wholesaling, retailing, logistics, education, aviation and real estate. Helen’s significant merger filing experience in China includes assisting clients to obtain approvals both under the Anti-Monopoly Law and prior antitrust-related laws in China, and she has worked on a broad range of antitrust compliance matters including cartels and unilateral conduct issues involving major Chinese enterprises. Helen also speaks English and Putonghua.
