Huy Do is a partner of Fasken Martineau. Huy practises antitrust/competition and foreign investment law, having been seconded to the Competition Bureau in 2002. He has extensive experience dealing with the merger notification and review processes under the Competition Act and the Investment Canada Act, as well as the civil and criminal provisions of the Competition Act.

Huy has provided competition law advice in respect of numerous mergers, as well as in respect of reviewable practices and criminal matters under the Competition Act. He also contributed in the preparation of a report to the Commissioner of Competition on amending the conspiracy section (section 45) of the Competition Act. In addition, during his time at the Competition Bureau, Huy was involved in the investigations and prosecutions of hard-core cartels and other anti-competitive conduct under the criminal provisions of the Competition Act.

Huy has served as a non-governmental adviser to the International Competition Network. He is ranked in Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2010), in the competition/antitrust section, as well as the 2010 PLC Which Lawyer? Handbook as a leading lawyer in Canada in competition and antitrust.
