Brazil

The market for competition services in Brazil is changing rapidly. The Brazilian antitrust authorities have become more active, more aggressive and more efficient in recent years - as evidenced by the surge in cartel cases and the fall in case times. Not only that, but politicians are now firmly behind the authorities, and Brazilian businesses are beginning to see the light: more companies than ever are making complaints to the authorities, and making use of CADE's leniency programme. All of this, of course, means more work for Brazil's large competition bar.
